Experimental Design Plan
Question: What is the effect of temperature on solar panels and the electricity generated?
Hypothesis: If the temperature is warmer, more electricity will be generated.
Independent Variable: The temperature surrounding the panels
Levels of Independent Variable and Trials
Level 1: 40 degrees F
Level 2: 60 degrees F
Level 3: 80 degrees F
Level 4: 20 degrees F
8 trials
Dependent Variable: electricity generated (volts)
Constants:
1.Size of solar panel 2.Amount of time 3.Same amount of sunlight
4.Angle of solar panel 5.Same time of day 6.
Procedures:

Procedures:
- Place solar panels in different temperatures
- Leave solar panels for a fixed amount of time
- Use multimeter to measure electricity
- Write down results
- Repeat steps 1-4 eight times
